l'avonture commence, tant que les au-revoir

Today, I bode farewell to my family. Well, half farewell, since they're coming to Sweden on holiday in a week. But I suppose this is a goodbye after all; goodbye to the parental home, goodbye to tv and hot baths. Not that I will miss those things, but still :-)

And now, I'm on the train to Leuven. Belgian trains are very practical; you can sit anywhere you want. When a lot of people come home from the coast after a holiday, or come home from work, this usually means you can sit in the corridor. Luckily, I managed to get a seat; typing in the corridor with a laptop is not exactly practical.

Look at me, I'm rambling. Back to the real subject of this blogpost: saying goodbye. I'm trying to avoid it as much as I can, since I'm not very good at saying goodbye. Either I remain stoical, calm and insensitive as a tree. "It'll be alright, don't cry, ..." It's either that, or crying uncontrollably.

Saying goodbye to my girlfriend for 5 months will probably be the hardest thing I will ever have done in my life.

cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again

I've taken a complete goodbye-kit: pictures, teddy bear, etc. Hope it will be enough :x

Het besef is er eindelijk. Ik ga op Erasmus. Een half jaar weg van al mijn vriendjes, van alle vertrouwdheid in Leuven, op naar een nieuw avontuur.

En met het besef ook de eerste traantjes. Want als je het even goed bedenkt: ik laat mijn zalige leventje hier achter. Mijn zalige vriendjes vooral :-)
